What is your refund policy for pay per view broadcasts?
We will grant viewers a refund only if there is a disruption of the stream, and if these three conditions are met. 1)The disruption has to be experienced by all viewers. 2) It has to last longer than a total of 20 minutes of the entire broadcast. 3) It has to be the fault of either Gigity.TV and/or the venue. Please review our System Requirements for users and our refund policy under the Terms of Broadcast.
Is it free to join?
Yes, it is absolutely free to join Gigity.TV. You get your own profile page through which you can post a picture, become a "fan" of bands, get notifications on specific shows, integrate with Facebook and Twitter, and much more. The only cost to you is when you purchase a pay per view ticket through our security-certified credit card checkout, or through PayPal.
How do we sign up?
The first step is to create an artist profile, either for your group, or as a solo performer. Next, approach venues affiliated with Gigity.TV and ask them for a date to perform (currently, our only venue is the Double Door in Chicago). If the venue gives you a date, your event will get a unique URL that you can promote to your friends via email, Facebook, and Twitter. Also, viewers and visitors who choose to "fan" your profile on Gigity.TV will receive an email informing them of your next broadcast (unless that viewer in their privacy settings elected to not receive notices).

How is the pay per view money shared?
The venue and the bands together determine the pay per view ticket price. The first $1.00 on each ticket sale covers two fixed costs: The cost of the broadband to live stream to a ticket buyer three hours of content (65 cents), and the credit-card processing fee (35 cents). These costs are approximated in good faith.
The remaining revenue is profit, and it is split three ways: 20% goes to Gigity.TV, 30% goes to the venue (and other stakeholders, like promoters, labels, and managers, if applicable), and 50% is divided between the performers.
A venue and the bands will pre-negotiate the division of these profits, but the venue has the final say. Also, all parties in an agreement are able to review the terms from the control panel of their Gigity.TV profile.
How can we get a recorded copy of our performance?
Please speak with the sound engineer before the start of your performance to let him/her know that you would like your performance recorded. Gigity.TV suggests $40 per recording per band, but the price from venue-to-venue may vary. The audio is taken from the stereo sound-board mix, and the footage is a duplicate of the live stream that cuts between the multiple cameras.
If you like, have a friend or fan bring a hand-held video camera to capture footage from an extra angle. This footage can then be edited with the footage provided by Gigity.TV to create an enhanced documentary.
What are our rights regarding the recording of a performance?
Gigity.TV and the affiliated venues understand that the artists fully own their recordings, and that they are free to produce, sell and market them as they please. However, Gigity.TV withholds the right to archive these recordings and monetize them via advertsier-supported, on-demand play-backs, or, via pay-per-downloads.
Artists will be duly compensated, and they hold veto power to request the removal of any piece of content they own. For more information please refer to the universal, one-time performance waiver.
How do we join the Gigity.TV network?
A venue must make an investment in the cameras and technology before it can stream live concerts, whether free of charge, or pay per view. The producers of Gigity.TV will assist you in every aspect of the installation, and then develop with you the revenue streams both to help you recoup your costs and to start making a profit.
We would like to help you pay for your installation by leveraging any well-established relationships you may already have with local or national advertisers. With an explanation of the opportunities for brand integration on your Gigity.TV channel, many businesses will see the value in sponsorship.
Send us a message through the contact page to discuss how we can move forward with an installation at your venue.
How much does the system cost?
The system cost will vary from venue to venue depending on the types and number of cameras the owner wants installed. However, as a comparison, our flagship installation at the Double Door in Chicago's Wicker Park costs $4600.
At this stage in our growth, Gigity.TV is not interested in making money on the installations. We will sell everthing to you at cost, and provide copies of the manufacturers' receipts.
Our goal is to grow our network of venues, and to keep the equipment and installation costs as low as possible. Furthermore, we're constantly testing new equipment and getting price quotes in bulk so that we can enhance the viewers' experience and pass the savings on.

What if we want a more elaborate camera system?
There are a lot of factors like venue size and layout that will determine the types of equipment needed to deliver a high-quality live stream.
Some venues may also want to purchase a camera that could also be detached from its wall mount and be used as a wireless roving camera. This camera perspective could be interesting as the operator zoomed in and out, and added more life to the stream.

What are the obligations of a participating venue?
A few things: 1. Keep your calendar of broadcasts full with pay per view events. 2. Encourage bands, their fans, and other stakeholders to open a free Gigity.TV account. 3. Keep the equipment in good working order. 4. Encourage your staff to get comfortable with the cameras and technology. 5. Help us make Gigity.TV profitable for everyone through fairness, transparency, and good faith.
What are the revenue streams for a venue?
1. Pay per view. The venue is entitled to 30% of the ppv profits, but it may choose to lower its cut to accomodate the managers and promoters of some artists and events.
2. Selling to bands a recording of their performance after they perform. Our suggested price is $40. However, our business model is trending towards giving the artists a free download of their performance.
3. Advertiser-supported, free-on-demand playbacks of archived shows. Here, the venue's cut is 15% of the profits on every playback. This % is subject to change.
4. A venue will receive 15% of the revenue from the online purchase and download of an artist's performance. This % is subject to change.
5. Direct sponsorship of a venue's "channel" or broadcast page. Terms will often vary, but it will be equitable so that all parties will be fairly compensated.
Contact us for more information on these revenue streams.
How do the venues get paid by Gigity.TV?
Payments to all parties will go out from Gigity.TV via PayPal at least 10 days after the daye of any transaction, and not later than 30 days. This is to ensure that their are no refund claims or copyright claims that need to first be addressed.
